Spicy chicken burger
INGREDIENTS
Marinade
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chilli powder
Flour mix
- 1 cup flour
- ¼ cup corn starch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp black pepper
Spicy mayo
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
- Marinade the chicken in it for at least 2 hours.
- Make the flour mixture using the ingredients listed above for it.
- Dip chicken in the marinade, then in the flour mixture. Double dip it for a nice crispy coat.
- Leave it to rest for 10 minutes.
- Fry the coated chicken on medium heat (about 175°C) until cooked.
- Create the sandwich by either using toasted burger buns or toasted bread.
- Spread the spicy mayo on the bun, ingredients listed above. Add the chicken, lettuce and more off the spicy mayo.
