Spicy chicken burger

 


INGREDIENTS

Marinade

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chilli powder

Flour mix

  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ cup corn starch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Spicy mayo

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
  2. Marinade the chicken in it for at least 2 hours.
  3. Make the flour mixture using the ingredients listed above for it.
  4. Dip chicken in the marinade, then in the flour mixture. Double dip it for a nice crispy coat.
  5. Leave it to rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Fry the coated chicken on medium heat (about 175°C) until cooked.  
  7. Create the sandwich by either using toasted burger buns or toasted bread.
  8. Spread the spicy mayo on the bun, ingredients listed above. Add the chicken, lettuce and more off the spicy mayo.
